What Is A Starlight Headliner?

A starlight headliner turns your car's roof into a night sky. We drop your headliner, thread hundreds of individual fiber-optic strands through it one at a time, and connect them to a hidden LED light engine. Each fiber tip becomes a single "star." The result at night is a roof full of pinpoint lights that can twinkle, shift colors, and even shoot across the ceiling.

How The Fiber Optics Work

There are no bulbs in your roof. Every star is the polished tip of a hair-thin fiber-optic strand, and all of them run back to one compact light source tucked out of sight. That design matters for three reasons:

• No heat, almost no power draw — the fibers themselves carry light, not electricity.
• Nothing to burn out in the roof — if the light engine ever needs service, it's one accessible unit, not 500 ceiling points.
• Total color control — change the whole sky from ice white to red to purple from your phone, add twinkle, or sync it to music.

Hand-Placed vs. "Pre-Made Panel" Starlights

Some shops sell drop-in starlight panels — a pre-drilled board with fibers already in it, shaped to nothing in particular. They're faster and they look like it: uniform grids, visible seams, headliners that don't match the interior.

We do it the Rolls-Royce way: your own headliner comes down, and every star is placed by hand. Density is higher where you want the "milky way" effect, star sizes are mixed for depth, and the fabric goes back up looking factory — because it is your factory headliner.

Custom Logos In The Roof

Because each star is placed individually, we can arrange them into shapes — your brand, your build's badge, anything. The Hellcat logo in the photo above is a few hundred fibers placed to form the cat, surrounded by a random star field so it reads clean when lit and invisible when off. Does It Damage The Roof? Will It Last?

Done right, no and yes. The fibers pass through the headliner backing — nothing structural is touched, and the perforations are invisible from below. Fiber optics don't dim over time the way LED strips can, and with no heat and no moving parts, a hand-built starlight outlives most of the cars it goes into.
